Apple officially announced today that the company founder and CEO Steve Jobs has resigned again due to health reasons, without disclosing the specific reasons and the time of resumption.
The email written by Jobs to all employees was published on Apple's official website. The full text is as follows:
Colleagues,
With my application, the board of directors has approved my medical leave so that I can focus on my health issues. I will still be serving as the company's CEO and participate in major decision-making.
I have asked Tim Cook (Note: Apple's Chief Operating Officer) to take charge of the daily operations of Apple. I have full confidence that Tim and other members of the management team will do an excellent job and smoothly implement our wonderful plans for 2011.
I love Apple so much and hope to return soon. At the same time, my family and I will greatly appreciate everyone's respect for our privacy.
Steve
Based on the strict protection of personal privacy, Apple has almost never publicly disclosed the physical condition of Jobs. In 2004, Jobs was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, which was cured after surgery and then he returned to work. In 2009, Jobs took a six-month break due to illness, later it was confirmed that he had undergone a liver transplant surgery. It is not yet clear whether this medical leave is related to the previous condition.
Upon the release of this news, Apple stocks traded on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in Germany have fallen by more than 7%. Due to Monday being a public holiday in the United States (Martin Luther King Day), the stock market is closed, so the Apple share price traded on the Nasdaq market has not yet been affected.

Old Jobs should take it easy, don't risk his life for being a guru.
