Later today, to be exact at 6:02 PM Greenwich Mean Time, the iPhone will officially be released in the UK and Germany. As previous reports had indicated, the European version of the iPhone will come with firmware version 1.1.2, and the US version of the iPhone will also be upgraded simultaneously.

Currently, some people have already found the download link for the v1.1.2 firmware on Apple's official website, but iTunes has not yet started prompting users to upgrade automatically. According to user trials, the new iPhone does not seem to have any particularly noticeable new features, but the system response speed "appears to have significantly improved," and it has been confirmed that support for multiple languages has been added. Additionally, as expected, the file system hack that exploited the TIFF vulnerability has now become ineffective.
