A year ago, Apple accounted for less than 2% of the global computer market. According to NDP research, currently, Apple's desktop computers have captured more than 10% of the market share, while Macbooks have secured nearly 15% of the notebook market share. This places Macbooks in fourth position, following HP, Toshiba, and Gateway. Due to back-to-school student purchases, this figure is expected to increase in the third quarter.
