Hackers partially crack iPhone; full crack may take two weeks

According to the latest reports from overseas media, hackers have currently cracked some of the restrictions that Apple and AT&T placed on the iPhone. The iPhone is a multimedia smartphone developed by Apple, and AT&T is its exclusive dealer in the United States.

So far, many hackers have published tutorials for cracking the iPhone on the Internet. By following the instructions they have published, users can activate the network browser and iPod music player functions of the iPhone without signing a service contract with AT&T. Jon Johansen, a Norwegian hacker, is one of those who cracked the iPhone; he became famous for cracking the DVD copy protection and is also attempting to crack the iTunes software so that songs from iTunes can be downloaded to any device other than an iPod.
