World's most expensive iPhone makeover costs $2.51 million

It seems that the global financial crisis has not affected jewelers. Recently, Peter Aloisson, a jeweler from Auria, set a world record for the most expensive iPhone 3G makeover. He decorated the iPhone with diamonds and various gemstones, and the remodeled phone is worth $2.51 million.

The home button of this Apple iPhone 3G is inlaid with a 6.6-carat diamond, while the body of the phone consists of a total of 18 carats of diamonds, various golds, platinum, and rose gold. The golden trim around the screen uses a total of 138 diamonds.
