Apple today released its first smartphone, and media attending the MacWorld conference have sent back the first pictures of the iPhone.
According to our previous reports, the specifications of the iPhone are as follows:
1. Runs on the OS X operating system with Dashboard virtual menus.
2. 3.5-inch widescreen touch screen with a resolution of 320x480; storage capacities of 4GB/8GB.
3. Supports iTunes synchronization.
4. 2-megapixel camera.
5. Supports GSM + EDGE network.
6. Supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
7. Dimensions: 115mm x 61mm x 11.6mm, weight 135g.
In addition, a size comparison between the iPhone and several other popular touchscreen phones has also been released. From the comparison images, it can be seen that while the iPhone is slightly wider than the Treo650, its thickness is comparable to the thinnest Motorola Q, making its design proportions very well-balanced.
