CNET reported that MTV Networks of Viacom had agreed to release video programs in its cable TV network on Google's advertising network. These two companies said on Sunday (August 6) that this trial might become a new economic model for providing Internet-based video.

This plan marks that Google will, for the first time, release advertising-supported video programs from major programming providers on its AdSense network. The advertising-supported video release plan will start a trial at the end of August. If this trial with MTV is successful, it will mark a great progress in Google's main business model of providing Internet-based text advertisements. Google's revenue and profit mainly come from Internet-based text advertisements.
