The Z-9 helicopter onboard the Snow Dragon, which had successfully completed China's 25th Antarctic expedition, left the Snow Dragon research vessel at around 11:20 on the 12th. The helicopter crashed into the river a minute or so after taking off from the Snow Dragon. Of the four crew members, three were rescued and one is missing.
