(1) Sichuan Luzhou oil-paper umbrellas: The umbrella is entirely made of bamboo, including the button used to open it, which is made using the natural flexibility of bamboo. The manufacturing process is complex; the bamboo ribs must be finely shaved with directionality in mind. The umbrella cover is made from colored paper.
