On a website called "Elegant Chastity Network," there is a passage that reads: "No dating history, proper appearance, undergraduate and master's degree from the same university in Wuhan, guarding her chastity for over thirty years. Her integrity shakes heaven and earth, her character surpasses the mundane, viewing fame and fortune as fleeting clouds before her eyes. She is sunny and happy, sharing her experience of guarding her chastity. She does not seek promotion but seeks to keep her heart free of guilt forever. In order to uphold social trust and let kind-hearted people eliminate the worry of being deceived..."

A woman who specifically establishes a website to call for the importance of chastity is rare, and netizens have even given her the name "Chastity Goddess." Investigations revealed that the "Chastity Goddess" is actually named Tu Shiyou, 38 years old, from Ezhou, currently living alone in Wuhan. She is a highly educated single woman who has remained a virgin until now. She earns a meager income through freelance writing but is obsessed with promoting her beliefs. To prove she is still a virgin, Tu Shiyou even posted on Weibo a report certifying her virginity from Tongji Hospital in Wuhan.

Two years ago, Tu Shiyou was deeply shocked by various negative social phenomena reported in the news. She suddenly had an idea to create a website to promote premarital chastity. However, according to her understanding, creating a website would require at least 5000 yuan, which was a significant obstacle for her with a meager income. Later, she contacted a male web developer online who shared similar views with her. He agreed to help her realize her dream of a chastity website for only 1000 yuan, which made Tu Shiyou extremely excited. She felt it was necessary to establish a website to tell teenagers that by upholding chastity, they could focus on pursuing their dreams and avoid the harm caused by improper premarital sexual behavior.

However, her website also raised many questions among people. Some do not understand her actions, believing she should spend more energy on work.

Tu Shiyou's actions have not only attracted the attention of ordinary people in society but also prompted scholars to express their opinions on this matter. Professor Shang Chongsheng from the School of Political Public Management at Wuhan University believed that Tu Shiyou's original intention was good, and the concept she promoted was not wrong. However, sex is subjective, evaluated, and highly personalized. So-called chastity and sanctity are personal subjective judgments. While some people value "preserving one's purity," others may think it insignificant. Therefore, it lacks operability.

The "Elegant Chastity Network" can be seen as a reflection of Tu Shiyou's personal experiences and subjective judgment, representing her attitude and concept towards premarital sexual behavior. It is a product of elevating personal subjective associations to a universal human concept or value system. Thus, regardless of whether one supports her views or not, one should not use harsh words. Respecting everyone's right to express their own views is more important than debating attitudes towards "sex" in optimizing our society.
