A special exhibition featuring mannequins displays the 24 collections he has created since his arrival in 1997 as the designer for a luxury brand that had no ready-to-wear history. Curated by British stylist Katie Grand, the exhibit playfully and cleverly mixes the years and seasons — for instance, pairing a cashmere sweater with mink buttons from autumn/winter 2003 with a rose-print organza skirt from spring/summer 2001. All the mannequins have LV bags perched on their heads. The overall effect is luxurious, eccentric, glamorous — and entirely contemporary.
