Why don't men ask women out?

In a classic love story, there are two types of men: one type of man easily asks a woman out, and he is often criticized for being good at it; the other type of man is very shy and never dares to ask a woman out, but in the movies, he usually appears as a hero. The first type of man can get the woman quickly, but doesn't really love her, and eventually, the woman will discover his true nature; while the shy man ultimately wins the woman's favor too, and his love for her is usually genuine.
