A latest study found that women who drink beer regularly would have stronger bones and thus reduce the chance of suffering from osteoporosis. The researchers published their findings in the authoritative academic journal Nature.
The researchers consulted 1700 healthy women whose average age was 48 about their drinking habits, and conducted ultrasound scans on them. The results showed that the hand bones of women who drank beer were denser. Their hands were chosen because finger bones are generally the first to develop osteoporosis.
