Still firm after childbirth!

After the breastfeeding period, women's breasts are no longer as firm as they used to be and instead resemble two flat, saggy water bags. The once proud figure is completely gone! Many mothers become extremely disheartened because of this, and they hear that breast augmentation is excellent! For the sake of beauty, they truly want to give it a try! However, they don't know what breast augmentation surgery entails? What do other mothers think about breast augmentation? Let's quickly discuss whether you would consider "breast augmentation"!

Experts Talk: What is Breast Augmentation?

Director Tan Xindong from the Medical Aesthetic Center of Guangzhou General Hospital pointed out that a delicate curve is one of the symbols of female beauty. Breast augmentation surgery involves making the originally less full breasts fuller and more beautiful through surgical methods. Women who desire breast augmentation for beauty mainly fall into two categories: girls around 20-25 years old who very much hope to improve their curves, and ladies around 35-45 years old who, due to breast sagging after breastfeeding, need breast augmentation surgery to restore their breasts to their original state.

Director Tan Xindong analyzed that breast augmentation surgery has a history of over 100 years, with significant improvements in materials, methods, and techniques. Currently, there are two main types of surgeries: autologous tissue breast enlargement and non-autologous tissue breast augmentation. Autologous tissue involves using one's own muscles, fat, and skin to make the breasts fuller but leaves surgical scars. Non-autologous tissue involves injecting foreign objects into the body without using one's own substances. In the early part of this century, paraffin oil was injected into the breasts, which could also achieve the effect of breast augmentation. However, over time, some adverse reactions occurred, such as redness, swelling, heat, and pain in the breasts. Since paraffin oil is a liquid, it seeps downward, gradually shrinking the breasts. In recent decades, some people have injected liquid silicone gel for breast augmentation, but many drawbacks have been discovered. Besides causing redness, swelling, heat, and pain in the body, it cannot be completely removed, so this method is now not recommended.

A relatively advanced method is breast implant augmentation. The smooth implants originally used were prone to penetration, making the breasts hard. Now, they have been replaced with rougher surfaces containing semi-fluid silicone gel, which does not cause complications when placed inside the body. The latest type is the teardrop-shaped implant, which better conforms to the human standing image and comes in different sizes for selection. During surgery, the implant is usually inserted through the armpit, areola area, or below the breast, placing it either in front of or behind the pectoralis major muscle. There is minimal bleeding during the procedure, and the pain is not obvious after anesthesia. Domestic implants cost about 10,000 RMB, while imported ones (such as the top-grade implant material "Mentor") range from 20,000 to 60,000 RMB.

Director Tan Xindong suggests that postpartum mothers' mammary glands are relatively sensitive, so it is important to choose good quality imported products for the implant material. It is best to undergo the procedure at a large, reputable local hospital to ensure safety!
