Precautions after double eyelid surgery
Double eyelid surgery is one of the most common procedures in plastic surgery, so it's possible to overlook some precautions and experience unexpected side effects. However, with careful attention beforehand, such accidents can be completely avoided. After surgery, you should rest sitting on a comfortable chair with your face tilted back, and when sleeping, your head should also be elevated. This will help reduce swelling quickly.
On the first day after surgery, it is recommended to apply ice packs. Wrap the ice cubes in a plastic bag and then cover them with a thin towel before applying around the eyes. The blood vessels will constrict, which can prevent bleeding from capillaries and reduce swelling. It also helps alleviate the pain that occurs as the anesthesia wears off.
In the days following the surgery, take some antibiotics and anti-inflammatory analgesics to prevent infection.
