The Sea Bottom Guilin scenic spot was carefully built by the Jianrong Group Corporation of Malaysia with an investment of nearly 100 million yuan. It miniatures a batch of landscapes that feature Guilin's mountains and waters, such as the city emblem of Guilin - Elephant Hill, Seven-Star Hill which is shaped like the Plough, Diecai Hill which looks like piled brocade, Bright Hill where the Reed Flute Cave known as the "state guest cave" is located, Moon Hill in Yangshuo and the landscape along the Lijiang River, into more than 40 display tanks using the landscaping technique. It ingeniously combines marine life with Guilin's mountains and waters, reappearing the fascinating sea bottom fairyland from hundreds of millions of years ago.
The Sea Bottom Guilin scenic spot is located on the south side of the beautiful Nanxi Hill in the urban area. Inside it are 11 visiting areas including the Sea Bottom Guilin area, Guilin ancient biology area, tropical rainforest area, marine biology area and performing area, etc. It displays more than 8,000 rare fishes and strange marine creatures of over 800 varieties from rivers, lakes and seas all over the world. It is one of the largest oceanariums in Asia that has the most fish species.
Here you can see Nautilus which is a national treasure-level animal unique in China and appeared on the earth about 500 million years ago.
