The Zi River, which is reputed as "the first drifting river in China", originates from the Mao'er Mountain, the highest peak in South China. It belongs to the Yangtze River system and flows into the Dongting Lake from south to north. The average width of its riverbed is 100 meters. The vegetation on both sides of the Zi River is well protected. Its flow and speed are relatively stable. It looks like a jade belt threading through the strange mountains and rugged peaks. The whole course of the Zi River drifting is 22.5 kilometers, including 45 shoals and turning 31 bends. Whether taking a wooden boat, bamboo raft or rubber dinghy, it is thrilling but safe. During the drifting, scenic spots come up one after another. It is like entering a long gallery of landscape paintings. The ship goes on the river and people float in the painting. Especially in the season when it gets warm and flowers blossom, flowers along the banks are gorgeous and there are wonders everywhere, making people drunk with pleasure. In addition to the characteristics of being primitive, ancient and secluded, the Zi River also has a kind of lively and elegant beauty. There are more than 60 scenic spots distributed along the river, all very strange and beautiful. Among them, "Sailing Stone", "God Elephant Drinking Water", "Torch Mountain", "General Riding Horse Guarding Door" and "Zi River Buddha" etc. are vivid in shape and spirit, can be called absolute scenes and have very high aesthetic value.
