The Zi River, which is reputed as "the first drifting river in China", originates from the Mao'er Mountain, the highest peak in South China. It belongs to the Yangtze River system and flows into the Dongting Lake from south to north. The average width of its riverbed is 100 meters. The vegetation on both sides of the Zi River is well protected. Its flow and speed are relatively stable. It looks like a jade belt threading through the strange mountains and rugged peaks. The whole course of the Zi River drifting is 22.5 kilometers, including 45 shoals and turning 31 bends. Whether taking a wooden boat, bamboo raft or rubber dinghy, it is thrilling but safe.
