I always feel baselessly that belly dance is full of pornography and temptation, because in my imagination, those gorgeous and plump dancers, passionate and tempting music, and flickering lights, what are they if not temptation?
But when I really saw the belly dance performed by dancers in Turkey, I was moved, because what I saw was not just dancing, but life, art, and a sport that fills life with passion and sunshine.
That night, it was a slightly cold evening, and everyone was drinking and chatting in the dance hall specially prepared for tourists. Before I even finished a drink, suddenly, intense music began to play in the dance hall, a bit like Middle Eastern dance music, and somewhat like Indian folk dance music. Then the surroundings started to get noisy, and the entire dance entered a near-mad state.
Of course, I wouldn't fall behind, so I cleverly squeezed to the edge of the dance floor. Wow! A sexy dancer was already gracefully dancing in the center of the dance floor. Perhaps "gracefully" isn't quite the right description, because the belly dance movements are really intense, as if the whole body is twisting completely.
