Yaoshan Mountain is located in the eastern suburb of Guilin City, about 8 kilometers away from the city center. The main peak has an altitude of 909.3 meters, and it is the highest mountain in Guilin. It was named after the Yao Emperor Temple built on the mountain during the Zhou and Tang Dynasties. It is the best place for tourists to appreciate the landscape of Guilin and a place with good Feng Shui.

Yaoshan Mountain is famous for its unpredictable and colorful scenery in four seasons. In spring, azaleas all over the mountain make the mountain look colorful; In summer, the mountain is covered with pine and bamboo, green waves, beautiful mountains and rivers, lush vegetation; In autumn, the maple trees are red, the cypress is purple, and wild chrysanthemums are everywhere; In winter, snowflakes fly, white snow covers everything, ice flowers and jade trees, which is very interesting. You can take the sightseeing cableway to the top of Yaoshan Mountain. Look around, the paddy fields in front of the mountain are like mirrors, and the villages are like in the picture. The beautiful scenery of Guilin with green peaks surrounding the field and rivers embracing the city can be seen at a glance. The landscape of Guilin, such as sea of peaks, mountain waves, clouds, water and smoke rain, is like a bonsai in front of your eyes. On the top of the mountain, you can see a huge natural reclining Buddha, and drink a mouthful of spring water from Tianci Holy Spring to relieve the fatigue of the journey. When going down the mountain, you can also take the slide road, shuttle through the sea of flowers and forests, and experience the thrill of flying close to the ground. Yaoshan Mountain also has the best-preserved Ming Dynasty feudal princes tomb cluster in China - Jingjiang King Mausoleum, which is grand in scale. The plum bottles unearthed here are famous all over the world.
