Auckland is known as the "City of Sails" and is one of the best places in the world for yachting. Many people own their own sailboats or yachts. Later, when I was at a ranch in the mountains of the South Island, I found that in a large farm, there were sailboats towed by trailers, showing New Zealanders' passion for sailing. In recent years, due to New Zealand's consecutive wins in the America's Cup, the competition has moved to Auckland, New Zealand. The host country for the competition is determined by which country's team wins the America's Cup, and the America's Cup is then renamed after that country.
