The boundary lake of Ali area, which is located in the far west of Tibet Autonomous Region of China. It is also called Cuomu Anglarenbo Lake. Its meaning in Tibetan language is "a bright and narrow lake". The altitude of the lake surface is 4241 meters above sea level. The area of the lake is 604 square kilometers, including 413 square kilometers within China and 191 square kilometers in Kashmir region. The lake stretches east-west in a narrow shape with open water at both ends and a riverine water body in the middle. The rivers flowing into the lake include Magacangbu, Duomaqu, Angmai Qu, Maibale Qu, Zangge River, Karlongba, Nage River, and Tongda River etc. The quality of lake water distribution has the characteristic of being fresh in the east and salty in the west. The fresh water reserve is approximately 4.657 billion cubic meters. The maximum depth of water in the eastern part is 41.3 meters. There are abundant fine-scaled fish and scaleless fish in the lake. The grass around the lake is lush, making it an excellent pasture.
