Fall in Love with Hokkaido - A Luxurious Escape

I've heard of skiing in Hokkaido, and I've also heard of the seafood there. However, during that 9-day photography journey, I witnessed another kind of beauty in Hokkaido. This Orient's Provence, with its gorgeous sea of flowers in full bloom, undulating hills, and vast lavender gardens, even has a faint floral fragrance in the air. No matter which angle you look at it from, it resembles a fairyland on earth. It often rains in Hokkaido during the summer, but rainbows after the showers add even more of a fairy-tale atmosphere. No wonder former Japanese photography master Masayama Maeda wanted to live in Hokkaido after retirement.
