One of Conan Doyle's detective novels made the great detective Sherlock Holmes a famous and household hero. The number of people who know his address at 221B Baker Street, London, is no less than those who know the Prime Minister's residence at 10 Downing Street. Because this is where the great detective Mr. Sherlock Holmes lived. Ever since the opening of the Holmes residence, there has been a steady stream of visitors. What the staff here didn't expect, and finds both amusing and exasperating, is that letters and greeting cards addressed to "Mr. Holmes" have been pouring in. People would rather believe that this great detective, who was originally fictional, is still living here.
