Stepping into the Tianlong Tunpu in Anshun, southwest of Guiyang, is like going through an alley across time and space. The warfare 600 years ago has gone with time, but the legacy of the Ming Dynasty has been passed down till today. Women here still wear Ming-styled ornamental shoes with upturned toes, also known as "Qiaoqiao Shoes". During every festival celebration, men jump the "Di opera", while women wear blue robes and big shirts. The alleys remain the same and the fortresses stand still, and the changes of times seem to have no effect on such a forgotten corner of the world.
