Guanyan Scenic Area is a newly developed tourist area in Guilin City. It is located in the Caoping Township, on the east bank of the Lijiang River, 29 kilometers south of Guilin City. It gets its name because its mountain shape resembles an emperor's purple gold crown. Guanyan is a giant underground river cave with a total length of 12 kilometers, originating from the Haiyang Mountain to the east of Guilin. Currently, only the part near the Lijiang River has been developed, including two parts: the underground dry river and the dry cave, with a total length of about 1.7 kilometers. You can take a bus from Guilin through Daxu Ancient Town to directly reach Guanyan Scenic Area. You can also take a boat and stop at the Guanyan Wharf midway during the Lijiang River tour to visit the Guanyan Scenic Area.
