The Dutch are creative, not only in their windmills and tulips. The original location of the Dutch Central Tax Office was a group of old buildings constructed in 1960. There was no connection between these buildings. Due to partial renovations, to solve the various problems faced by different buildings, the Dutch Central Tax Office decided to connect each block into one contiguous structure. They excavated a large sunken area underground outside of the building and added water, creating a stunning contrast in architectural styles as the natural elements combined with the steel pipe structures to form an organic whole, full of modernity.
