The Three Gorges of the Yangtze River are picturesque. Located in the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River, the Three Gorges are flanked by overlapping mountains, majestic and mysterious. There are more than 30 famous scenic spots along the shore, such as the Cave of Three Wanderers, Huangling Temple, the Hometown of Zhaojun, the Hometown of Qu Yuan, the Autumn Wind Pavilion of Cao Zun, Zhang Fei Temple, Goddess Temple, and Baidicheng, etc. From the Pre-Qin period to the Qing Dynasty, 460 poets have visited this place successively, leaving more than 2300 poems praising the Three Gorges. Especially on those steep cliffs that seem to be shaped by a supernatural force, there are many stone inscriptions of ancient and modern poetry preserved. These amazing cliff carvings add grandeur and charm to the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River.
