The Shi Ling Mountain sea erosion site is located at the foot of Shi Ling Mountain in Huangpu Town. According to research by deceased Zhongshan native and geography expert He Dazhang from the Guangdong Institute of Geography at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Shi Ling Mountain sea erosion site is not only the largest sea erosion site discovered so far along the Guangdong coast, but also one of the few well-preserved sea erosion sites in Guangdong. The Shi Ling Mountain sea erosion site is an ancient coastal landform formed 5000 years ago due to crustal changes, with a geological structure of red sandstone gravel from the Cretaceous period. Its sea caves, sea cliffs, and sea platforms are the most complete geological specimens among the existing sea erosion sites in the Pearl River Delta, with very unique scientific and aesthetic values.
