Jinxiangtan Coastal Tourist Area is located 20 kilometers south of the urban area, and was approved and announced as the second batch of provincial scenic spots by the provincial government in 1993. When the red sun rises slowly from the east, the sea surface of Jinxiang will become a magnificent picture with glittering gold, overlapping golden waves, scattered fishing sails, flocks of seagulls, and soft sands stretching endlessly, all harmoniously blending into this picturesque scene with strong poetic charm. Jinxiangtan Coastal Tourist Area is famous for having four features: "mystery, sea, sand, and stone". The inscription of the famous calligrapher Qi Gong, "The Golden Coast of Tourism in Eastern Guangdong", has been engraved on the rock face.
