The lychees produced in Zhenlong Town mainly consist of two varieties: Nuomici and Guiwei. The Nuomici lychees of Zhenlong have a shape slightly skewed to heart-shaped, with an off-centered stalk. They are relatively large in size, with a bright red color intermixed with wax yellow. Their prickly texture is not very obvious. The flesh is milky white and translucent, thick and tender with an extremely sweet taste, while the pit is small and thin. These lychees have various nourishing functions and are rare and excellent fruits of Lingnan. Guiwei lychees of Zhenlong are one of the high-quality varieties widely cultivated in Guangdong. They are famous for their fine pits, crisp and refreshing flesh, and a sweet taste with the aroma of osmanthus.
