Germany once took the lead in creating dedicated flights and hotels for nudists, and now Germany has announced that it is giving the green light to "naked hikers," opening an 18-kilometer long dedicated trail in a famous mountain climbing area in the north.
This "nudist trail" is located in the Harz Mountains, a famous tourist destination in central Germany, and was initiated by Heinz Ludwig of the German Nudist Association. The trail will officially open on May 1, 2010. Currently, the government has already set up warning signs at the intersections.
