Gaozhou Xian Temple is located on Civilized Road in Gaozhou City, to the north of Panzhou Park. It was originally built in the 14th year of Jiajing in Ming Dynasty (AD 1535), and was subsequently renovated in the 43rd year of Jiajing and during the Tongzhi period of Qing Dynasty. The Gaozhou Xian Temple, a tourist attraction in Gaozhou, is the largest Xian Temple in the Gaozhou area. In the early Ming Dynasty, after the Gaozhou Prefecture government moved south to Maoming City (now the urban area of Gaozhou City), the Gaozhou Xian Temple also moved south, and was built outside the east gate in the 14th year of Jiajing (1535), known as Gaozhou Xian Temple.
