The Wuling Lake Natural Scenic Area is located in Yaoqiaoyu, Xinchengzi Township, Miyun County. It mainly features the long and narrow mountain reservoir - Yaoqiaoyu Reservoir. The lake water is emerald green and deep, where you can go fishing, swim, row and take speedboats. The surrounding green mountains are covered with pine and cypress trees, creating a beautiful environment throughout the scenic area. The highest summer temperature is 25 degrees Celsius, making it an ideal place for escaping the heat and vacationing. Located on the southern mountain, the ancient Yaoqiaoyu Fortress is 500 meters long and 300 meters wide. It was built during the Ming Dynasty as a military camp along the Great Wall for garrisoning troops, and it remains well-preserved to this day.
