Yunnan, the coexistence of snowfield plateau and tropical rain forest, the alternation of high mountains and deep valleys and broad dam lakes, has gathered more than half of the country's fauna and flora species and witnessed the history of the survival and development of 26 ethnic groups. The 25 ethnic minorities which belong to the offspring of the ancient Di-Qiang, Baiyue, Baipu and Miao-Yao have been in good relations with the Han people in the southwest frontier for generations, showing a distribution pattern of large mixed inhabiting and small compact inhabiting, which makes the brilliant national culture flower bloom proudly and lastingly on this red land, and the 15 special ethnic groups in Yunnan have laid an indisputable foundation for the establishment of its "national culture kingdom" status.
