Mi Yun reservoir

The Miyun Reservoir is Asia's largest reservoir, known as the "Pearl of the Yanshan Mountains." It is located in the Miyun County, northeast of Beijing, nestled among the Yanling peaks. It stretches across the Chao and Bai rivers and was constructed from September 1958 to September 1960. The reservoir covers a total area of 1.88 million square kilometers, with a water surface of 137,000 acres and a depth ranging from 40 to 60 meters.
