JD Shilin Gorge

Huangsongyu Township is located in the northeastern part of Beijing's Pinggu District. It can be directly accessed via Shunping Road from the airport expressway or via Shunping Road from Jingun Road. It is 85 kilometers away from Beijing's Second Ring Road. It was opened to the public in 1999, underwent large-scale upgrades in 2005, and reopened for business in April 2006. The Stone Forest Valley in the east of Beijing has lush vegetation, fresh air, and a cool climate, making it a natural scenic tourist area that integrates sightseeing, vacationing, and recuperation. The total area of the scenic spot is 12 square kilometers, and the whole valley is 6 kilometers long. It gets its name because the peaks within the scenic area are vertically upright, towering and precipitous, resembling pieces of stone forest.
