The Unrestrained Beauty of China's Six Great Grasslands [In Pictures]

The grassland in the northeast of China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It is located to the west of the Greater Khingan Range, and is named after Hulun Lake and Bela Lake. The terrain is higher in the east and lower in the west, with an elevation between 650-700 meters, and a total area of approximately 93,000 square kilometers. The average annual temperature is around 0℃, the frost-free period lasts 85-155 days, and the annual precipitation is about 250-350 millimeters. Spring wheat, potatoes, and a small amount of vegetables can be planted here. The low hills and gentle ridges are sheepgrass meadows.
