At 4:22 AM today (June 29), Train No. 1473 from Xiangfan to Zhanjiang was running on the Jiaozuo-Liuzhou Line between Gudian and Zhaolon in Guangxi when rocks fell due to continuous torrential rains over recent days and buried the tracks. The locomotive and the first four cars of the train derailed. Four passengers were killed and more than 50 others were injured. Traffic on the Jiaozuo-Liuzhou Line was interrupted.
