Hangzhou West Lake is located in the west of Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, in the city center of Hangzhou. It was formerly known as Wulin Water, Qiantang Lake, and Xizi Lake, and began to be called West Lake in the Song Dynasty. It is famous at home and abroad for its beautiful lake scenery and numerous historical sites, and is one of China's most famous tourist attractions, also known as the "Paradise on Earth".
