This map shows the path of totality for the July 22, 2009 total solar eclipse. The blue north-south path lines delineate the boundaries of the total eclipse zone, while the bold center line marks the center of totality. The yellow lines crossing the path of the total eclipse represent ten-minute interval lines for the greatest eclipse point; every ten minutes, the point of greatest eclipse moves from one yellow line to the next.
In the upper left corner, the four directional arrows are for the pan map function, and the zoom bar is used to adjust the map size. The three buttons in the upper right corner of the map are for changing the map view: Map mode, Satellite mode, and Hybrid map mode.
