Most of them have broken tails. Due to lack of hibernation, they are physically weak and prone to diseases. Commercial golden coin turtles can gain weight by 150-500 kg annually, and reach 500-1000 kg in 2-3 years. Commercial golden coin turtles are mainly for consumption and not suitable for breeding.
