On February 28, 2012, the first member representative conference of Guangdong Province Rosewood Chamber of Commerce was held in Guangzhou Building in Guangzhou. The conference passed the "Guangdong Province Rosewood Chamber of Commerce Charter" and elected the first council of the Guangdong Province Redwood Chamber of Commerce represented by Wu Chiyu, the first president of the Guangdong Province Rosewood Chamber of Commerce.
Director Guo Jinlian and Director Xie Yanmei from the Guangdong Provincial Social Organization Administration and representatives from 62 well-known enterprises in Guangdong such as Meilian, Shenfa, Hongguxuan, Wan Shengyu, Xinhui Classical Furniture City, Taixing, and Dongcheng attended the meeting.
In December last year, the preparatory group of the Guangdong Province Rosewood Chamber of Commerce held an initiators symposium in Guangzhou. All the preparatory work for the chamber has been completed. The purpose of establishing the Guangdong Province Rosewood Chamber of Commerce is to enhance the industry's voice, prevent vicious competition in the industry, regulate market behavior, and more importantly, to focus on promoting the Guangdong rosewood brand and create a Guang-style rosewood with Lingnan cultural characteristics.

The chamber should vigorously promote the "Guang-style" culture, improve the national reputation of Guangdong rosewood and member enterprises, and transform several major rosewood production bases in Guangdong into national redwood trade centers, making them the most professional and largest production and trading platforms in China.
It is reported that on March 15, during the China (Zhongshan) Redwood Furniture Culture Expo and the 9th China Redwood Classical Furniture Exhibition held in Zhongshan, the Guangdong Province Rosewood Chamber of Commerce will hold the inauguration ceremony of the first council and participate in the first China Redwood Forum and the third National Redwood Dealer Conference.
