The reporter continuously tracked and monitored the real-time video information of this road surface camera for 8 days, and found that without exception, it wildly scanned two high-rise residential buildings of Wangye Haoyuan more than 50 meters away at midnight every day. Then it focused on the lit rooms with unclosed or loosely closed curtains, and with a high-magnification lens, it could see all the "private affairs".
Through the real-time video broadcast on the government department's public information network, the reporter saw that the scanning time of the video lens numbered "Dongmen / Wenjin (Yayuan 2)" generally started around midnight and ended around 5:30 in the morning. Sometimes it intermittently focused on the residential building during the night, and sometimes it continuously scanned the residents' rooms.
For example, on April 29th, the video lens began to scan the two buildings of Wangye Haoyuan every two minutes or so starting from 1 o'clock in the morning, covering all directions without any omission. When it scanned to a window with light, the lens would stop and zoom in to watch. If there were curtains, it would quickly move away and look for the next target until it could observe the "activities" inside the room through the window. If it was a hallway, the lens would immediately shift; if it was a man, it would pause briefly before leaving; if it was a bedroom, it would also pause briefly. However, if there was a woman in the room, it would stop for a long time.
