On May 11, another Mother's Day is coming. Let's bless all the mothers in the world here together!

====================================================

【The Origin of Mother's Day】

Mother's Day originated from Greece, where the ancient Greeks paid tribute to Hera, the mother of all gods in Greek mythology on this day. In the mid-17th century, Mother's Day spread to Britain, and the British regarded the fourth Sunday of Lent as Mother's Day. On this day, young people away from home will return with some small gifts for their mothers.

The modern sense of Mother's Day originated in the United States and was initiated by AmanmJarvis (1864-1948). She never married and stayed with her mother all her life. In 1905, when her mother passed away, Amanm was extremely sad. Two years later (in 1907), Amanm and her friends began writing letters to influential ministers, businessmen, and legislators to seek support to make Mother's Day a legal holiday. Amanm believed that children often neglected their feelings for their mothers. She hoped that Mother's Day would make people think more about what mothers had done for their families. The first Mother's Day was held on May 10, 1908, in West Virginia and Pennsylvania. During this festival, carnations were selected as the flowers dedicated to mothers and have been passed down ever since. In 1913, the U.S. Congress passed a resolution setting the second Sunday of May every year as the legal Mother's Day. Since then, Mother's Day has spread widely!

After the establishment of Mother's Day, it received support from the people of various countries around the world. During AmanmJarvis' lifetime, 43 countries had established Mother's Day. To date, even more countries celebrate this festival. Mother's Day has truly become an international festival. By convention, the "International Mother's Day" is set to be celebrated on May 11 each year. Although some countries celebrate their own Mother's Day at different times of the year, many countries, including ours, such as Denmark, Finland, Italy, Turkey, Australia, and Belgium, celebrate Mother's Day on the second Sunday of May.
