April 5th, 2008 during the Qingming Festival holiday, in Nanyang City, Central Plains, Henan Province.

It seemed to be an omen of the coming nightmare; the bright morning sun had disappeared behind dark clouds by noon.

Since it was a day off, thousands of citizens of Nanyang joined in the climb up the jade producing Dushan Mountain on the outskirts of town. Coincidentally, Dushan was hosting its annual folk festival, so there were much more visitors than usual. The roads leading to Dushan were not only crowded with people but also all sorts of vehicles that weaved through the crowds. All of this seemed to set the stage for the tragedy that would occur later in the afternoon.

Car crashes are worse than tigers, and they can happen in the blink of an eye. A large out of control military utility vehicle suddenly appeared before the crowd, and before anyone could react, it had already plowed into the throng of people, leaving a bloody path of destruction. According to an eyewitness, over ten people were injured or killed in the accident. The scene of the car crash was heart wrenching.

May those who lost their lives in this serious car crash rest in peace. There are no cars in heaven.
