Yesterday (the 26th), we learned from the Ya'an Seismic Disaster Prevention Bureau that the epicenter was located at 30.0 degrees north latitude and 103.1 degrees east longitude, at the boundary between the Yucheng District and Mingshan County, specifically around Dingfeng Village in Fengming Township in Yucheng District, with a focal depth of 20 kilometers. There are currently no reports of casualties or property damage.
When the earthquake occurred, there was a noticeable tremor in Yucheng District, Mingshan County, and Tianquan County. There was a slight tremor felt in Lushan County and Baoxing County. People in Chengdu, Meishan, and Leshan also reported feeling the tremor.
After the earthquake, the municipal and district Seismic Disaster Prevention Bureaus immediately contacted Fengming Township in Yucheng District by phone to check for any casualties or property damage. Subsequently, the municipal and district Seismic Disaster Prevention Bureaus organized personnel overnight and set out at 45 minutes past midnight on the 26th to head towards Dingfeng Village in Fengming Township in Yucheng District near the epicenter for an on-site investigation. The working group visited several villages including Dingfeng, Xiaoba, Longchuan, and Shuizhen in Fengming Township and Caoba Town in Yucheng District to investigate the earthquake situation. At the same time, they promoted seismic disaster prevention knowledge among the villagers of the towns they visited, stabilizing public sentiment and calming the emotions of residents in the earthquake-affected area.
Currently, there have been no reports of injuries or property losses collected.
