In 2011, with the recent surge in temperatures, cooling appliances such as electric fans, air conditioners, and refrigerators in the major appliance markets of Shantou city have become increasingly popular. After visiting many appliance merchants in Shantou city, it was learned that recently the most popular items on the market are floor fans priced at over 100 yuan, bladeless fans at around 500 yuan, single-cooling air conditioning fans at about 600 yuan, and heating/cooling air conditioning fans for more than 800 yuan. The prices of cooling appliances have increased year-over-year by approximately 15% to 30%.
