Zhongshan Network News - At around 8:10 PM last night, our newspaper's hotline received multiple calls from readers who claimed to have seen "unidentified flying objects" in the sky over areas such as Kuchong in the East District and Xingzhong Avenue. The objects were heart-shaped, flashing red and blue lights, and moved in a relatively regular pattern.
The reporter immediately went to the scene for investigation. Around 9:00 PM, with the help of several热心 citizens, the mystery of the "UFO" was finally unraveled on a small bridge near the Municipal Traffic Police Detachment. It turned out that an uncle in his fifties was controlling a luminous kite. Under his guidance, the kite would sometimes come close and then move far away, occasionally forming a K-shape while circling in the sky, and at other times flying quickly. The kite string in the old man's hand was more than 500 meters long. When he learned that some people had mistaken his luminous kite for a "UFO," he couldn't help but laugh.
The elderly man told the reporter that he liked to tinker with kites on a daily basis. Later, he attached glowing LEDs and simple batteries to the kite, making this "luminous kite" by himself. Once the kite flew into the air, the light emitted by the LED was quite noticeable even at a height of hundreds of meters.
