Japanese researchers have developed a device that transmits kisses over the Internet, allowing users at either end of the network to feel each other's movements. This kissing device can currently only transmit some aspects of a kiss and requires further improvement. After its release, the kissing device faced considerable skepticism. Some people believe that human interaction through this method is a form of sadness.

The kissing device was developed by researchers at the Moto Lab of Japan’s Electrical Communications University.
From photos published on Yahoo News on February 2, the device consists of two rectangular terminals, one black and one white, each with a straw on top, resembling beverage boxes. It also includes some connecting equipment. In the photo, a man holds the white terminal in both hands with the straw in his mouth, as if he were sipping a drink.
The researchers explained that when a user places the straw from one terminal into their mouth and moves it with their tongue, the straw on the other terminal will rotate in the same way. "If you turn it one way, then your lover's (terminal straw) will turn the same way," they said.
