Caution: Improper diet can lead to infertility

Gynecological experts explain that infertility refers to those who have normal sexual life, do not take contraceptive measures but fail to become pregnant. There are many reasons for female infertility, which could be from the male side or the female side. However, people often only pay attention to infertility caused by diseases, but often ignore that improper diet can also lead to infertility.

Gynecological experts remind a large number of women friends to be careful about improper diet leading to infertility.

The following foods may lead to infertility:

[1] Alcohol

Scientific research has proven that the main component of alcohol is ethanol, which can increase the concentration of catecholamine in the body, cause vascular spasm, underdevelopment of the testicles, and even make the testicles shrink. The spermatogenic function will undergo structural changes, and there will be insufficient secretion of testosterone and other male hormones, resulting in a finer voice, breast enlargement and other feminization symptoms. These people are prone to male infertility, and even if they have children, the next generation is more likely to be deformed. For women, it can lead to irregular menstruation, amenorrhea, ovum mutation, no sexual desire or cessation of ovulation.

[2] Coffee

Researchers at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences in the United States studied 104 women who hoped to get pregnant and concluded that coffee has a direct impact on conception. Among these women, those who drink more than one cup of coffee a day are only half as likely to get pregnant as those who do not drink this kind of beverage. Therefore, they proposed that women who plan to get pregnant should drink less coffee.

[3] Roasted beef and mutton

Eating roasted beef and mutton is a habit of residents in Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang and other places. Someone found that a few women who love to eat roasted mutton have children with mental retardation, paralysis or deformities. After investigation and modern medical research, these women and their malformed children were victims of toxoplasmosis infection. When people come into contact with livestock infected with toxoplasmosis and eat the uncooked meat of these livestock, they are often infected.

[4] Garlic

Overeating garlic can weaken the vital energy of a person and has a significant sperm-killing effect. If young people of childbearing age eat too much, it will have an adverse effect on fertility, so it should not be eaten in excess.

[5] Carrots

Carrots are rich in carotene, various vitamins and other nutrients beneficial to human health. Experts from Shanghai Gynecology Hospital have found that excessive consumption of carrots by women can cause amenorrhea and inhibit the normal ovulation function of the ovaries. Therefore, women who want to have children should not eat too many carrots.

[6] Sunflower seeds

The protein part of sunflower seeds contains components that inhibit the testicles, which can cause testicular atrophy and affect normal fertility functions, so young people of childbearing age should not eat too much.
